Dear Friends,

First and foremost, I want to say thank you to the hundreds of people across the country and around the globe who have supported our efforts and enabled The Shining Light Fund to become what it is today.  What started as a grassroots effort by my husband and myself has grown into an amazing ministry that has reached far beyond anything I could have imagined.

It is sometimes overwhelming to read all of the incoming requests because they represent many tragic losses.  For each of those losses there are parents and family members who are feeling alone and confused.  As this program evolves, I can see more clearly the miracle and purpose of Elena's life.  I can't help but be thankful to her for inspiring us and allowing us to connect with so many wonderful people.

If you are grieving the loss of a child, please know that your grief is shared by many others who understand your pain. Also know that each life, no matter how short, is precious and purposeful.
